or just replay of the down if on the defense. Why do any yards have to be involved? Penalties should be drastically different. If a player commits a serious penalty, having to sit out plays would make more sense than giving the other team yards. 10 yards for holding has always annoyed me.

Then there's the issue of refs being wrong. Something needs to be done about that within the game. phantom calls can and should be dealt with. However, the best team winning is not the name of the game.
