Good advice considering that's where State is

One of my favorite road trips! Pretty simple the Grove to tailgate and Square where all restaurants and bars are. Too bad you’re married! The scenery is sick

Can confirm.

OP, going to the Grove is a must since you haven't been. Can't help on parking as I only go with a friend that has a parking pass, but I know there are shuttles that can bring you onto campus from just outside. I'm pretty sure they are free, but don't quote me on that. Some OM people can be dicks, but most are nice enough as long as you aren't obnoxious.

Bring a lot of cash if you want to go out in the Square after the game. Some of the cover charges get ridiculous, and they can increase as the day goes by.
But the Library is a lot of fun assuming you're not over 50

You are going to see a lot of Khaki. Be prepared for a great deal of khaki.

Wear a helmet to the game.

The little a-holes like to throw whiskey bottles.

You have to have a pass to park on campus. Anything close to campus will be reserved parking. As you get further away from the campus, there are some paid parking on a first come basis. You can park at the Oxford Convention Center and Oxford Park Commission lots and take a shuttle. I think the parking is free but you have to pay for the shuttle. The main bars are on The Square.

Bring your grill to the grove and fire it up! They love home cooked meals in the grove.

Best bet is to try to park in the old mall parking lot on Jackson Ave. Just look up the Malco Oxford Studio Cinema. It's right across from campus and you can either walk or they have shuttle buses that pick you up and drop you off not far from the grove.

At this point it's very unlikely you'll find any place to stay in or around Oxford. Might try Grenada but either way you're probably going to have to stay at least 45 minutes outside the city unless you find someone with a place to rent.

After the game like the others say, you're gonna want to hit up the square. There's a ton of bars and each one will be packed and have a decent cover. The Library will probably be charging at least $60 to get in the door. Most other places around will be $10-$20.

Only season ticket holders can park on campus. Try to park in the mall parking lot north of campus. It's free and there have been shuttles in the past that bring people onto campus. That lot fills up fast, so plan to get there early or you'll have to pay to park somewhere else.

Don't walk around with open containers. Cops will take it from you. Everything has to be in a cup. If you have an ice chest, don't ever let go of it or it will be considered unattended and cops will empty it. You will see ice chest with locks on them at tailgates.

The Grove is a sea of humanity, in the best and worst ways. As someone else stated, there is a lot of talent on that campus, and the girls are very aware they look good. You will see a lot of that. You will also see every other Ole Miss fan in existence in the Grove all at the same time. I swear all of Oxford in in the same spot at the same time before the game, so you will be nice and close to the person in front and behind you. Don't be in a rush to get through it because that won't happen.

I've seen older in there, so I say enjoy it

Also, the chicken on a stick from the Chevron outside the square is worth waiting in line with a bunch of drunks to get.

Free parking at the Movie theater parking lot on Jackson AVE. Right across from Fraternity row and you can take the Bus to the campus. From there just walk up towards the grove. Straight passed the bell tower, towards the library, past the loop and boom you're in the grove.

We had no problem ubering from our hotel. We just had to wait about 20-30 for the pickup. I recommend not dealing with parking if you plan to walk to the square after the game to maybe eat diner or for entertainment.
Don’t pass up chicken on a stick bro! Line is out the gas station about 50 deep
