With our offense being so good, why doesn’t the D take more chances with pressure? Sure we may give up a few more big plays but the offense will make up for that. And more pressure would potentially create more turnovers this more chances for the O.

He is banking on the concept that it's harder to string 9 plays of mistake free football together than it is to string 3 together.

Yes. This means you give up some 9 play drives.

But, so far, it's also meant that eventually, you lay and egg, and our offense creates point space for the defense to then take a few chances.

I think that’s exactly it Rob.

They were getting to third down quite a bit, which is inefficient and not sustainable.
Granted they converted a few of those third and long’s, but getting a team into third and long, with our secondary, is putting them in a position for success. Its up to the players to execute.

And what happens when we play a team that doesn’t lay eggs?

This philosophy will get us slaughtered by Bama

Ok, well you saw what the conservative approach got us last night right? We were losing in the 3rd quarter and hadn't stopped them from scoring tds. When we switched to an aggressive approach and blitz Trask like we should have been doing from jump street, we shut them down and they didn't score again the whole game. If those results aren't obvious to you then you're an idiot. My problem with aranda is why does it take him so long to make adjustments in game and not make changes that obviously needed to be made? He needed to make changes much earlier last night and pressure Trask when it was obvious we couldn't stop them with the weak pass rush bc he was picking us apart.
