It’s over for the Kurds.

In an interview on Thursday, Syria’s Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mikdad said that Syria will not hold talks with the Kurdish forces in northern Syria because they “betrayed their country.”
It’s over for the Kurds.

Well, they need to get the hell out of that area right next to Turkey. As they are in a war with Turkey over Nationhood for areas that are in Turkey...if they don't want to get whacked, they need to move back. No way the Turks allow their enemy to set up shop right across the Border, from which to launch terror attacks.
I don't work for the Pentagon and I know that.
Besides, unless the EU want's all those Syrian Refugees now in Turkey, they had better support that Zone back inside Syria. Kurds nws.

"This call may be recorded for quality control purposes. Hello, am I speaking with the U.N.? This is? Great. I'm calling today about an overdue invoice on your utilities. We have a plan to help you move past this, avoid having your service turned off and your credit score negatively affected. Are you interested in learning more? Good.
What we suggest is to immediately send in 200 peacekeepers to Northern Syria. Yes, that's right, Northern Syria. Now, I can put you in touch with our representative, Nechirvan Barzani, who can provide you with specific instructions. May I put you on hold for just a moment? Okay... Great! Hold on, please.

Hello? Are you still with me? Okay, great! I have Mr. Nechirvan Barzani, president of the Kurdistan Region. I'm going to pass this call to him, and I will be signing off now. If you have any questions, Mr. Barzani will assist.
It's been my pleasure to assist you. Mr. Barzani?"

Saladin (/'sæl?d?n/; 1137 – 4 March 1193), was the first sultan of Egypt and Syria[4] and the founder of the Ayyubid dynasty. A Sunni Muslim of Kurdish ethnicity,[5][6][7] Saladin led the Muslim military campaign against the Crusader states in the Levant. At the height of his power, his sultanate included Egypt, Syria, Upper Mesopotamia, the Hejaz, Yemen and other parts of North Africa.

Yup. I've read up on Saladin. A great leader and very well educated.
I truly hope somehow things one day work out for the Kurds.
And I am very happy to get out of Syria.

And we shouldn't expect them to allow any more than we would.
Yes the Kurds helped us against an enemy. So did Ho Chi Minh, the Chinese, and the USSR during WW2.

Not really hard to figure out that people will align with people they don't agree with to achieve an agenda. The Kurds benefited more from the arrangement than we did.
