I do agree with you on the incompetence of our govt particularly concerning drug regulation. I don't think Government caused the current problem but their knee jerk reaction certainly made the situation worse.

I don't know who needs to find the answers but they need to be found and implemented soon and full or partial legalization of some drugs could go a long way to help this problem.

Fda approved the drugs and the manner in which they could be almost freely dispensed. My state, Florida, was one of the biggest pill mill states because government refused to do any level of pill registry/database. Government is very complicit here.

It's a hard line to draw, some folk I know are in legit pain, some like getting fricked up, and some are both. Personally I say make it all available and pharmaceutical grade. I feel much better knowing they killed themselves vs an impurity/adulterant. It took fentanyl proliferation for opioid deaths to exceed alcohol totals.
