Much easier to take a stance that will have the press blowing you than to take one that may actually have some blowback.

I’m sure that the players feel SO strongly about transsexual issues. :eyeroll: That one was pretty much a political attack on Republicans in North Carolina under a veneer of pretending to care about transsexuals.

Same deal with the talk about Trump restricting immigration from terrorist-supporting countries. I’m sure very few NBA players outside of Asik or Kanter have a lot of contact with people from a lot of those Middle Eastern countries.

Completely agree.

I think the players will be SJW about what doesn’t hurt their pocket books to a major extent. And things that make them look good to the media.

But if it comes down to supporting people on the other side of the globe, with the cost being 10+ million per team, you me and everyone would take the non-disruptive stance.

We are all hypocrites if the situation dictates.
