Ok. I am sure I’ll miss some stuff but I’ll give you my best advice. You’ll literally need everything. Goggles, gloves, jacket, pants, neck gaiter, layers underneath, helmet, ski passes, rental ski equipment.

For the best price, buy your lift tickets in advance from ikonpass.com or the steamboat website. This should save you 20-40 bucks per day per person. There is a Christy Sports in steamboat. You can rent your skis, boots, poles, helmets and snowboards from there. Book this in advance as well. You’ll need to buy everything else before hand from my list. You can find some past season stuff on sale right now for a better deal.

If you haven’t skied before, I would take a lesson on day 1. Lessons are expensive at steamboat. But, the rest of your trip will be much more enjoyable having done one.

Also, you must go to the strawberry hot springs while in steamboat.
