Can you bring yourself to admit there was a significant improvement over the NWST and Vandy games? If not, then you just have an ax to grind and don’t know anything about football. Utah St is better than either of them and the defense shut them down.

Nobody hates Aranda fool. The highest paid assistant coach in the land defense should play like it. The defense did just that yesterday. Be happy

Aranda has been trying to get our defense to next level where we can play zone or man up so that we can properly disguise schemes.
As it stands right now though, we haven’t really been effective in zone. Until we can pull that off, we won’t be effective at disguising a zone read if offenses don’t respect our zone ability.
This is the type of defense needed to beat bama or clemson.
Aranda knows that.

Utah State was averaging over 500 yards a game. Their QB is going to be drafted (although yesterday’s game probably hurt his draft stock lol).
LSU will do that against Florida. You can keep doubting though. I’ll keep rooting for my tigers.

I don’t recall anyone wanting him fired. His body of work is starting to say he’s a bit over rated. Shutting down Utah State won’t change many opinions of that.

At some point players have to be held accountable. The amount of dollars a coach gets paid doesn’t mean shite without execution. LSU is in the same position as Clemson,Bama,UGA,Ohio St as far as destiny goes and our head coach gets paid a fraction of theirs.

Only allowing 200 passing yards a game and 80 rushing yards a game, and that’s with a defense that’s dealt with a lot of injuries.

He had a great game. He’s had two great games and three subpar games. Overall, defense has still been a disappointment. Hopefully, it’s trending up the rest of the season. They haven’t been that good against the two Power 5 teams they’ve played.
I know some of you think he’s above reproach as if you’re related to him or something. But when he deserves praise, he should get it and when he deserves criticism, he should get it. He’s a good coach but he’s not the best we’ve ever seen here. Sorry to burst your bubble.
