- no stipend for college athletes and some amateur-eligibility rules (FALSE)

College Athlete Getting Stipends

- one-and-done in basketball

The NBA wants a better product and too many teenagers makes it less palatable to season ticket holders and the quality of play. They can change their minds any time.

- possession arrow in basketball

I love the possession arrow.

- running to first after strike 3 when pitch hits ground

I think this completes the play. Love this rule.

- NFL kickoff rules

Which rule?

NFL overtime rules

Which rule? All?

- fouling/free throw rules in the bonus...make it 1 shot + possession

I don't mind your change here.

- end zones only 10 yd deep in US football

How many yards WOULD make sense?

- hockey points for OT losses

I'm cool with this.

- soft penalties for hockey fighting

I think fighting in other sports should have softer penalties as the other leagues have gotten more physical. It blows off steam and keeps people from taking cheap shots.

- long putters in golf

What rule are you referring to about them that doesn't make any sense to you?

- stroke penalty fairness in golf

What rule makes no sense in regards to the fairness of it?

- possession rule for ball o-o-b in lacrosse

DGAF about lacrosse.

- only one foot down for legit catch in college and below

Why wouldn't that make any sense?

- ball hitting the pylon being automatic TD...pylon is o-o-b

It doesn't make any sense that the pylon is part of the plane?

- fumbling out of end zone being change-of-possession

The end zone is where a possession ends. It actually makes total sense.

- pro-wrestling...everything about it

What rule doesn't make sense though?

I love the possession arrow.

I would love to see a true jump ball.

Each out needs a “put out” by a fielder. A lot of outs also have an “assist”. On a strike out the pitcher gets an assist and the catcher gets a put out. This goes on the fielding percentage. On a strike out, if a pitcher throws it in the dirt, it effectively becomes a ground ball. The catcher fields it, gets an assist, and the 1B man gets the put out.

I like a lot of your responses to lsuau but I will never get behind the end zone fumble BS. I’m a defense guy and I think a turnover in this situation is not merited.
