EXACTLY. What I hear every time his camp says something like this or that his "vote wouldn't have mattered", is are you trying to say that you don't believe your job you were elected for "matters"?

You were elected to do a job. The primary objective of your job is showing up and voting. You say your missed votes didn't matter. You are saying that your job does not matter! Either someone else should be doing it or we don't need that job. Which is a good thing for him seeing how we may be losing a district due to Honor Code driving our population away.
