Shingles or tin roof?

Currently in the process of building a covered pier on a new pond. What’s the pros and cons of shingles vs. tin roof options? LINK

If the roof isn't steep and a gable I wouldn't consider metal unless you are talking about standing seam metal. Metal has it's own problems including leaking at the screw heads.

Quality 26 gauge metal installed correctly is superior in every way except price.

This. A buddy of mine is having leaking issues in several places at the screws.
