Got some beds that I think a vac would be perfect for. Never bought one though and was curious if yall had any experience or advice. TIA

I've never used one that wasn't awkward and generally more of a pain in the arse than it was worth. I bought a yard vacuum with a detachable hose, the volume of capacity and power is really much more useful. Especially when the leaves start falling, my mower goes into storage because the yard vac can pack up three times the leaves into its bag along with a chipper chute for small branches.

Are you using just a push yard vacuum? Looks like a lawn mower?
Sounds like it is worth the money, but wondering if you are constantly emptying the bag if you have a lot of leaves

The cheap one from Harbor Freight works surprisingly well.

Yes, but it mulches up the leaves and packs them into the bag, get my front yard, sidewalk, and the front of the curb done on one bag. Beats the shite out of raking or running around trying to mulch them with my lawnmower.
