How does Bryce Young not have an offer?

Given O’s SC connections and the direction in which our offense is going.
Now he’s wavered from USC and shown that he’s willing to come to the SEC. Dont understand why we’re not pushing hard for him

I wish we would have. I'm not sold on Finley at all and only partially sold on Johnson. Who knows what they'll look like once they are on campus. I just see us going the transfer route at some point to get what we need.

Bama started working on him like 3 years ago with Sark as the analyst then OC. This wasn't an overnight flip. If he showed any interest at all the offer would be a formality.

Yeah, people are going way overboard thinking we have 5-star offensive talent knocking down our door to come play for us after FOUR games of showing some offense. It doesnt work that way. It's going to take some time and 2021 will be a true indicator. We are going after Caleb Williams hard and if we can pull him he can absolutely be the future here. As you said, Young was being worked on by Bama for a long time, this wasn't like Young just up and decided to go to Bama after they talked to him last night.

Bama has been on him a very long time and this flip was pretty much known months ago

We're just gonna have to get used to this thread every week. I fully expect to be downvoted to hell for saying this, but we didn't just invent the forward pass. Oklahoma is working on making it three straight Heisman winners at QB. Clemson, Ohio State, UGA, and Bama have been running wide open offenses for the last few years. Just because we have been in the stone ages for a decade people assume we will overnight jump them as a destination for QBs, when it takes years to build those relationships, which is exactly what you're watching with Nussmeier and Williams in 21'.

I thought analysts couldn’t recruit or interact with players?

Well do you keep up with Alabama recruiting? I do. You’re talking about a prospect that Alabama pretty much knew was a great flip chance. LSU isn’t in this race. Makes you feel better go ahead and ask Vol.

No I honestly don’t follow recruiting much. And I sincerely thank Gunner Kiel for that.
But it just seems strange that a top QB from an area with which O has ties flips to the SEC but we haven’t even offered him.
