Went around last week putting new straps on stands. Buddy a few yrs ago fell 30foot because ratchet strap was dry rotted and popped... (obv no safety vest too) but still. Very very lucky he is alive, but lost leg because of the fall. His life changed forever. He was in and out of surgeries over a year and kept infection in the leg before ultimately lost it. Stay safe

Sorry to hear that oleyeller! Used to never use one and had a fall from 20 feet while checking stands many years ago. Very lucky nothing serious but I don’t get off the ground without a safety harness - and most of the time a life line as well.
