If you are a DIYer and don't mind a day of digging, dig a 6"-7" deep and 6" wide trench around your foundation. Keep the dirt nearby because you'll need it later.
Buy Taurus SC from Amazon. 4oz per gallon, 5 gallons per 10 feet. While the mixture is still in the trench, put the dirt back into it so that the soil inside the trench is fully saturated.
It's best to only do this process 10 feet at a time so as to ensure the proper concentration is applied in each 10 foot section.
Taurus SC is the generic for Termidor and will be a termite's sure death for roughly 10 years and will most likely last longer than 10 years. It's recommended that you repeat this process every 10 years, though, and personally I will reapply every 8 years just to be safe.
Spend roughly $400 depending on the size of your foundation and a day or two of DIY work and you will save thousands of dollars on contracts/treatments.
If you don't believe me, do some research from literally ANY source online and you will see how effective Taurus SC is.

Just here to agree that fipronil is a great long-lasting termiticide. I’ve spoken to entomologists with the LSU AgCenter and they’ve told me they’d choose fipronil for termite control over other commercially available termiticides.
