That's right, especially if it is a private school, how do you draw those kinds of numbers that you are inferring, from the very outset? I would think, too, that it would take four to six years, since it is unlikely that juniors and seniors would transfer out of where they are to attend this new private school which is opened simply to expand the select-school side of the LHSAA.
Most new schools, select or not, usually open with only the lowest grade, or two lowest grades, and simply add by advancement...frosh becoming sophomores and so on.
That new school that was on the game of the week a couple weeks ago, were just now getting into LHSAA competition. Lafayette area, black helmets. This would not solve the problems we have, now, keeping the association together.
