I always enjoy these threads because this kind of math discussion is fun to me.

But at the end of the day, it is sad thinking that people who have never thought of taking a Calculus class in their lives are in here arguing against what has been mathematically proven for what? Hundreds of years?

1/3 = exactly .333 repeating
1 = exactly .999 repeating

These are not opinions. These are proven mathematical facts. Educate yourselves.

Someone puts a gun to your head and says you have to press one of two buttons. If you press 1 button, there’s a 100% chance that the person you love the most wont be killed. If you press the other button, there’s a 99.9 repeating% chance that the person you love the most won’t be killed. Which button are you pressing?
