want the spotlock but unwilling to give up the footpedal. Anybody use them extensively in saltwater and how do they hold up?

And I don't want no guessing

Terrova. That’s what I did. Allows for the footpetal.

Only downfall is it is white.

Odds are you’ll be fine but according to their website, use in saltwater voids the warranty.

No problems here.

I use the ultrex in saltwater. Had the steering sensor board go bad. That happens all the time to guys in nothing but freshwater so I don't think that was the issue. The sell as anode that screws the prop to the shaft. I'd recommend that for sure. rinse it well after use. Saltwater troller lucky to live 5 years regardless with regular use.

My motor guide was still running at 18years old when I upgraded to a larger Minn Kota. I WILL NOT replace my trolling motor with same make if it only lasts 5 years.
