I had to listen to the radio call for the first time in forever last week due to being out of the country and unable to get my stream to work in the 2nd half. With Blair you understand exactly what is happening. IMO that is the most important part. However, he does lack the pure excitement of Hawthorne.

Also, Doug Moreau is useless. His "analysis" is basically the obvious observations my grandfather might discuss while watching the game. It's clear he doesn't do a deep dive into game prep. Nothing personal against him, but he doesn't really bring anything to the table.

This is not an unpopular opinion. Not on this board.

An unpopular opinion is I think CB is way better than JH.

Of course CB didn't have the enthusiasm that JH had, but he's growing into it. If you have any doubt, go look at his salty replies on Twitter to Dan whathisfrickface from Yahoo and Dick Dick Vitale during the Will Wade stuff. He was quick with the wit.

His basketball play by play is out of this world and I love the football and baseball work too. I think if people looked at it objectively, you'd realize you honestly feel that way about JH because he was all that you have known and people don't like change. So from the start CB was at a disadvantage due to bias

The only thing Doug Moreau brings to the broadcast is his voice that makes you know you’re listening to LSU football.
