more people from the south should see the land here. Put our football loyalties aside and appreciate beauty. I'm wanting to spend more time at crater lake, I haven't seen much of southeast Oregon, was wondering about that. Also thinking more along the coast too, spent a bit of time out in Newport and the seal rock area.

Have you been out to Yamhill County and the wine country? I'm not a wine guy but that's one of my favorite areas of Oregon and an easy drive from Portland.

SE is mostly desert.
NE is amazing and largely untouched. Not counting working ranches.
I prefer the coast in the winter. Tourists are gone. Prices come down to earth and watching winter storms is fun. I've had days in shorts and a t shirt in January before.
Want some real fun go clam digging at long beach (opens soon). Get some food and see the scene.
Central Oregon is a playground of mine year round. Lots to do and see.
I'm working on exploring Washington more now that I'm living here (again).
