Hoop Dreams is my favorite movie. Not just sports. My favorite movie, period. I rewatched every 6 months have been doing so for over 20 years and likely will continue to do so for a very long time.
William saying, “If I don’t [get to the NBA], don’t you forget about me.” Strikes me every time I watch it. The struggle and strength of these two families bring so much emotion to me.

You're a little late to the party man. Everybody has a hangover and the beer is gone.

But, Hoop Dreams is a fantastic movie. Documentaries were left out of this tourny though.
