Health insurance - The biggest rip off of all. You have to have it but you get screwed every step of the way.

Is it because you pay your insurance bill, and not directly to the hospitals/doctors/pharmacists/labs?

Have you ever looked at the prices that are paid to those people?

Do you think the insurance company is keeping, say, 50% of your money?

If not, and let's say they have 5 or 10% overhead . . who else is going to pay it--the government? With what?

And I don’t know anyone who likes their health insurance. I pay $400 or so a month and still have a $3000 deductible. It absolutely deincentivizes me to go to the doc. It’s basically emergency insurance but that’s it

Like with any insurance, you could pay higher premiums for a lower deductible.

But surely all that healthcare is so cheap you'll never reach that $3,000 dollar deductible.
