Is there any public piers off inland side I could catch a few reds perhaps a trout or 2 early ?
Going the next few days, rain and south winds will have beach side a mud hole. I just don’t know of public options on inland side.
We will have a boat but only a few of us out of a large group.

fish the roadside by the first 3 hwy 1 bridges before Bridgeside like 85% of the rest of the population.

I fish side of the road between Leeville and Grand Isle and stay away from most of the bridges and usually do pretty well. Trout,Reds and the occasional flounder.

I've had good luck fishing the canals on either side of the road to Elmer's.

I’m giving you my honey hole. Take fourchon rd to where the old bridge was. Exit off to the right. There’s a half arse launch down there. To the right of the launch and about 6-10’ from the bank there are always mangrove snapper. Probably 70/30 on throwbacks vs keepers, but they’re fun to fight. Only catch them on spoons and/or live shrimp. There is a lot of debris in the water so when you hook one get it up quick. If you see the dolphins that hang out down there go ahead and pack it in.

you talking about going straight when you get off the toll bridge? I've never fished that area before

where yellow circle is. Old Hwy all the way back to leeville. Always catch trout and a few reds. Ample room to fish and no traffic. You can go around gate and fish old road all the way back to bridge

Thats where he’s talking about. I haven’t fished there in a few years since the bridge got torn down but there used to be a small pier under the bridge. Always did decent there. Caught a 3 man limit of specks there one morning along with probably 35-40 white trout.

The lighted bridge at night should be good.
