This is an elimination game. Both teams have one loss.
Mid-Atlantic: Elmora Youth Little League
Location: Elizabeth, New Jersey
Scouting report: Elmora Youth Little League is making its first Little League World Series appearance. ... New Jersey went 5-1 in the regional tournament. It lost its second game of the tournament on a walk-off, three-run home run but outscored its final four opponents 32-5, throwing two shutouts in the process. ... Elmora almost didn't make it out of the New Jersey state tournament. It trailed 4-3 in the championship game with one out and no one on in the sixth inning before rallying to win. ... New Jersey is one of four U.S. states to win at least four LLWS titles, with its last coming in 1998 (Tom's River).
Fun fact: Elmora manager Jairo Labrador told The New York Post that Mets third baseman Todd Frazier's exploits back in 1998 -- when he led Toms River (New Jersey) to the Little League World Series title -- inspired Elizabeth to form Elmora, which was chartered the next year.
Southwest: Eastbank Little League
Location: River Ridge, Louisiana
Scouting report: Louisiana is making its eighth LLWS appearance and its first since 2011, when Lafayette went 1-2. Eastbank Little League is making its first LLWS appearance. ... Eastbank is undefeated this summer. It went 4-0 in regionals, beating both Texas teams en route to winning the title. Louisiana beat Texas West in the regional final, snapping a streak of seven straight appearances for Texas in the LLWS. ... In districts and states combined, Eastbank outscored its opponents 79-0. ... Eastbank threw three shutouts in three state tournament games, outscoring its opponents 46-0. ... This is the first time a team from the city of River Ridge is appearing in the LLWS. It's the fourth city from Louisiana to produce a LLWS team, joining Alexandria, Lake Charles and Lafayette. ... River Ridge, a suburb of New Orleans, is located 11 miles west of the city.
Fun fact: Louisiana has a 9-14 record in the LLWS but has won at least one game in six of its seven previous appearances.

Thanks, BUT Go for it.
I have some stuff I need to do. I'm going to listen to it and won't be on the board for a while. I'll watch a recording later.

One last thing. If you are talking about the 1st baseman, he is a HUGE drama queen. If things go bad you can tell it just by looking at him. If things are going good also.
Hopefully he is bummed all game today.

Am I the only one who thinks that these bases are way too short?
Also, these kids are too old to not be taking leads. LLWS is crap

Yes, for 12 year olds 46/60 is way too short of a field
Some of these kids will be playing 60/90 in a few months..crazy

well, it's actually a positive that there are no leads with how short the bases are. not disagreeing with either point but at least we don't have short base paths AND leads. would be a mess IMO.

nah, that doesnt have anything to do with it..when my son played on his 12 year old team he had turned 13 in May...the cut off was May 1st...he had a good baseball birthday..
Then USSSA changed the rules a few years ago that allows kids to play down with their grade if they choose
Posted on 8/21/19 at 11:30 am to tgrbaitn08
They changed the cut off date to August 1st. No 13 year olds can play unless they’re international and have some bullshite birth certificate.
I don’t think Curtis has fouled tipped a ball all year.
