What shocks me are the players going back to the shithole they came from. Once you got the money, get the frick out cuz everyone and their brother will want a piece of you.

Every MLB baseball team has a training compound down there that are heavily guarded. They are all mostly right next to one another in the Boca Chica area which is about an hour from Santo Domingo
The former players go back to recruit and scout for teams and take kids out of the slums and bring them to these compounds....the drugs and money is how they pay the families to let the kids go and sometimes determine what team the kid goes to....sometimes the kids are traded from team to team until they either get called up or sent back to the slums......
