Are today’s parents more willing to sue?
We are not the ones that started the lawsuits that began this. It was the older (read: Boomers) that forced this issue.

True story.
I'm on the board of a local rec league. We had a parent threaten to sue us because we charged a $10 late registration fee because she signed her kid up 3 days late.
She didn't... but she did contact the district attorney's office asking if what we were doing was "illegal". One of the ADAs (whom I know personally) actually had to call me and discuss the issue with me so they could close out the complaint.
