Question about TV coverage and commentators discussing the course mainly the greens

You can watch any tournament and they'll have an announcer hanging out at hole 13, or wherever, and you'll hear them say, "The golfers have been missing this putt right all day." Sure enough, next guy up misses it right, even after studying his lie.
Is there a rule that prevents a caddy or someone finding out what commentators are saying on the broadcast? Or could a golfer pay 18 guys, one on each hole, and study breaks, etc. and inform the golfer what's up when he arrives at the hole?

As long as he doesn’t ask. If someone yells out “it breaks right”, he’d be good until the tour started cracking down

Pretty positive there are stroke penalties involved with doing something like that or requesting that sort of information from an outside source.
Even so, a pro golfer’s ego will prob not allow him to go against his thoughts and reads because of what Joe Buck thinks.

“Soliciting shot selection advice is a two stroke penalty”

It’s a rule.
If rule didn’t exist, you would see multiple people reading greens for a single player

A golfer may use any information he obtains from a broadcast BEFORE he tees off. He can watch TV. He can listen to the broadcasters. No Penalty. He can also send his caddie out on the course to scout pin placements, yardages, and wind direction.

I can tell you that PGA pros missing the same putt over and over is true. I have volunteered at the Zurich Classic. This year I as at the same green Friday to Sunday. There was one pin position that the pros would have the same 10-15' putt up the hill many times. No one would make it.
After a while you just want to tell someone that it doesn't break like you think it does.
