It’s close to NASA and Kemah, which has a marina and is a good place to go boating, if that’s your thing.

I’m not sure if the schools are good, but it’s very close to Friendswood and they have top notch public schools. Otherwise it’s pretty much your standard good Houston suburb. Huge homes for sale for 300-400K, some flooding potential, and an hour to get downtown every morning. Even worse if you are trying to get to the Galleria or Greenway Plaza.

Some friends live on the water in Galveston and commute to downtown Houston for work. They tell me it takes 45 minutes. Are they bullshitting?
