As soon as they shoehorned her as a lesbian, they set her up as Mary Sue with a prison interview.

Did she even enter a prison in season 1?

By definition a Mary Sue is:

“Mary Sue is a term used to describe a fictional character, usually female, who is seen as too perfect and almost boring for lack of flaws, originally written as an idealized version of an author in fanfiction.”

What about Dr. Carr is boring, too perfect, or unflawed?

That one interview was her only success for the season. She was a marginal friend and her importance at work was minimized. She was invisible during the climactic final episode. Your complaint of their wasting time on the trio’s personal relationships is valid. Singling out the lesbian is lame.

Didnt feel like it was a Mary Sue. Shes been a supporting character for a lot of the time and shes more organic to the story than any Mary Sue.
