Critics love “Its hard to be a God”.

I watched the first 15 minutes and thought it was the most revolting horrific movie I’ve ever seen in anything mainstream:

Everyone has their own cinematic development that enables them to view movies in a different way.

I just think my cinematic development is very very different than most people

Whoa, whoa, whoa. It's Hard to be a God? I won't comment on that one other than to say that I find it to be one of the finest things that I've ever seen put to film!

But such is the subjective beauty of movies, right? One may find merit and insight into this or that movie, while another does the same with this and that other.

Hell, one may find merit in a movie but still not enjoy it that much on a personal level.

All of that is as it should be. Long live the movies!

BTW, from what little I know, I'd say that your cinematic development is far advanced compared to most of us. I mean, most of us Americans are too lazy to watch any foreign movies at all. None. At. All.

And we're missing out. I mean, we are really, really, really, really, really, really, truly missing out. Sweet feathery Jesus, are we ever missing out!
