not sure we picked him over Flowers. I think we wanted one or the other to serve as backup and intended on getting a more legit everyday guy. when that became McCann, we were relegated to Flowers playing more.
It seems like our never ending search for a true starting catcher has turned into our previous searches for a 1B and left fielder that seemed to go on for years back in the 2000s
