From what I hear the rub is that a certain highly-connected Nola attorney (who also serves on the Board of Supervisors for a major Louisiana university) is also involved in the scheme, which has led to a huge complication of many city, state and federal interests. Just what I heard, no facts to back it up.

After reading this thread, I don't understand how the plaintiffs obtained police reports of an accident that didn't happen.
