JAN CRAWFORD: But you have concerns about how they conducted the investigation? WILLIAM BARR: Yes but you know, when you're dealing with official government contact, intent is frequently a murky issue. I'm not suggesting that people did what they did necessarily because of conscious, nefarious motives. Sometimes people can convince themselves that what they're doing is in the higher interest, the better good. They don't realize that what they're doing is really antithetical to the democratic system that we have. They start viewing themselves as the guardians of the people that are more informed and insensitive than everybody else. They can- in their own mind, they can have those kinds of motives. And sometimes they can look at evidence and facts through a biased prism that they themselves don't realize

It is clear that his standard is criminal intent. And lately, that is exactly how all these big fish have been allowed to walk recently.
When I heard Barr say this on TV months ago my stomach turned. I then convinced myself that he said this to placate him being called partisan and Trump's personal lawyer (AG)

This very thing happened with McCabe. I then thought, now that Barr is there real justice will be served. Then Comey skated with this same premise. (all under the guise that it is the low hanging fruit) I agree with Fitton when he says this is not normal, you get as many charges and tack on the big ones with full evidence of it all.

Comey screamed intent when he said under oath that he leaked a memo to start a special council on President Trump. There is no and's if's or but's about it.
