Personally I do not like going to chain restaurants at all. That doesn't mean I will end up at one from time to time... Locally.. But I refuse to go somewhere and eat somewhere I can eat any other time.
But for a lot of people its familiarity. They might not love the food at places like BWW, Chills, etc but they are familiar with it and the food is good enough for them to go and feel comfortable about going there.
With that said, I can understand going to a chain if its a work trip and its a group of people. That way, everyone knows what to expect, feels more comfortable, etc...

BWW is a place that we go farrly often. Mainly due to the fact that it is close to our house and if our 3 and 5 year olds decide to be little assholes nobody will notice
