Too many what if’s and unknowns. I for sure would be both angry and distraught. Mixed emotions flying.

But certain situations a shot gun would do more damage then an “assault rifle”

The Virginia tech gunman used pistols

Logically you can’t draw a line. And all guns will never be taken away as there are too many in circulation. If ever outlawed the criminals by definition will still have the guns

I believe in the Schrödinger's Gun theory. With guns legal I both have a gun in my house and don’t have a gun in my house. A potential criminal has to assume he may face me armed. At the same time I don’t have one and there is no reason to break into my house to steal my gun

If he know I don’t have one then size, element of surprise, knife beats me every time

Gun has potential to even the playing field.
