I didn’t say I don’t agree with the move. I said the timing is bad.

I don’t know if this needs to be formally announced at all, but if it does, announce it the Friday before we play Texas and nobody cares.

What’s the point of inviting bad PR?

Yesterday LSU Athletics was getting bad pr while donating x amount of monies to the university.

Today LSU Athletics will be getting bad pr and saving x amount of monies that won’t be going to the university.

It’s a net gain in positivity.

Again, oh well. It's not Woodward's problem that the academic side is a shite show. If anything, MORE light needs to be shined on F. King's charlatan bullying tactics.

Maybe he wanted to send a message and have everyone hear it?

It seems that Woodward and Alexander have an agreement that money will keep coming for specific projects but the guaranteed transfer every year. This makes total sense and most will agree with it. The timing of the announcement was poorly chosen, waiting a couple of months or until after the season to announce it may have been better.
