Comparing both after their jr seasons, which is as far as Roy has gone, I'd give the edge to Sopsher. Only because he was a little more athletic. But it is very close. Where Roy is behind in overall athleticism (which isn't by much) he makes up for with his motor, something Ish lacked at times. If Roy plays as good or better in his sr season, he will be my choice. Ish laid down his sr season and he got smoked in the AA game. I thought Guillory was better than Roy after last season. He is a little quicker but doesn't have the overall top end speed that Roy has. Different position's at the next level, IMO. I see Guillory as a NT and Roy as a DE. I'd have to say Guillory is a little better, IMO. He is a physically powerful beast.

Sop was a big lazy fuk who couldn’t dominate much smaller kids . He took entire games off . His handlers will do all they can just to keep him in school. He’ll never contribute there and he wouldn’t have contributed here

Let me put it this way, remember when Ricky Jackson and Hugh Green were both in college at Pittsburgh
I remember watching their bowl game and praying the Saints would draft Jackson.
Sopsher might turn into the player that has the talent he does. But once lazy, pretty much always lazy. That is a trait that is not easily lost. When you get dominated by 240lb Olineman in high school that is usually all you need to know.
I'll take Roy all day everyday. Guillory is a monster and must get. If we get him as well this DL haul will be what we thought Coach O could do

I think Sop was looked at so highly because he was so over powering. Everybody that lines up across from you at the next level will be as big as you. And in his situation with better foot work
Kids lazy and not motivated and that’s why his stock plummeted.
If Roy starts putting on muscle he’s gonna end a 5*.
I’ve been saying it for months- Roy was the most important recruit in this class for LSU for several reasons.

Roy is RJ and Sopsher would be Hugh Green .
LOL, are you trying to say Green was good because teams ran away from Rickey Jackson in college???
Hugh Green was all over the field and one of the best college football players ever. Rickey had the much, much, much better Pro career, but what you tried to assert is total bullshite.

I’m with you, Ex. I also remember Bill Frailic and a couple of guys named Dorsett and Marino

bullshite. Fake news. He made all the tackles because teams ran his way. RJ was an animal in college.

Ok, you seem to be always correct. My bad
Posted on 7/28/19 at 12:41 pm to Skillet
Sopsher is no where near as good as Roy

Green’s 49 sacks were because they dropped back to his side of the field?
The guy was runner up for the Heisman.
Just because Rickey was the better Pro shouldn’t take away from Green’s college accomplishments. You stated a falsehood. It’s okay, everyone has. Don’t get your panties in a wad when you’re corrected.
