re: Favorite outdoor moment/experience

My favorite experience is sitting in a duck blind on opening morning of big duck season, waiting on shooting hour, and hearing a few ducks calling back, and buzzing around.

I have a few favorite memories, but one that stands out to me right now is fishing with my fiance' (now wife) last year on the bend, and she hooks a 4 or 5 pound catfish in 35 feet of water, on her bream pole. I watched her fight with it for a few minutes before finally landing it in the boat. It didn't matter that it was just a catfish; it was the biggest fish she had ever caught. She was so excited and proud. I have a nice picture of the moment with her holding it up with a great big ole smile on her face.
