Almost 40 years ago now, my neighbor two doors down who had, thru his own labor, customized his conversion van extensively(it was a thing then) heard a noise while he was asleep.

Looked out his window and saw that his van door was open. Ran down the stairs and out his front door with a gun and the black man in his car popped out and took off running.

Neighbor yelled, "you better run you f'n n*****"

ANOTHER neighbor heard this go down and that neighbor was black and told the MPs the quote.

Neighbor received UCMJ action(he was Air Force) and his career effectively died that day.

I was still a child then and even then, I fully understood just how completely retarded that paradigm was. And we are about 100x MORE retarded about it today
