The Top247 LSU Commits and Top Targets

*** The highest-ranked commitment in LSU's 2020 class remains five-star cornerback Elias Ricks, who will play his senior season at the IMG Academy in Florida. Ricks remained ranked at No. 10 overall as the top-ranked cornerback in the country on 247Sports.

*** LSU wide receiver commitment Jermaine Burton, who will also head from California to the IMG Academy for his senior season, falls into the "stock up" category after a dominant showing during his junior year last fall and again this offseason. He moved up from No. 37 to No. 24 overall in the latest 247Sports rankings, putting him well within the five-star range once the rankings expand to 32 five-star prospects on 247Sports.

*** LSU wide receiver commitment Rakim Jarrett is already a five-star on the 247Sports Composite, and he remained inside the Top 32 in the latest 247Sports rankings, putting him within that five-star range on the site.

*** Let the good times roll for LSU's wide receiver recruiting in the 2020 class. Louisiana's No. 1 ranked wide receiver, longtime LSU commit Kayshon Boutte, stayed stock steady as a Top 50 prospect in the 247Sports rankings.

*** One of the biggest jumps in the rankings came from LSU defensive line commitment Patrick Jenkins, who went from a three-star and outside the Top247 all the way up to the No. 171 overall prospect in America.

*** LSU safety commit Jordan Toles made a big jump on 247Sports, going from outside the Top247 (No. 260 overall) all the way up to No. 173 overall. Toles, who is committed to LSU for football and basketball, is one of the top safety prospects in the 2020 class.

I'm happy we have 3 5-star WR's, but I would much rather have 3 5-star linemen.

Damn they have Max Johnson ranked as the 877th ranked player, they don't think too highly of our QB's.

Odd that he made such a big jump in the ratings, but his offer list is so unimpressive compared to Lee and Taylor who are rated about the same. Maybe because he is very solid to LSU?
