And the football has been the dominant force in college football for the last decade. I'm sure the increase in the enrollment and having the housing to accomodate them is just a big coincidence?

I have stated that both phenomena have the same underlying cause. This means that the correlation between the success of the football program and the expansion of the student body is spurious -- one does not cause the other, but rather result from the same underlying cause.
