And to reiterate this guy's answer, ITS ALWAYS DAYTIME at that spot on the moon. Hence, The Dark Side of the Moon.

It's a little different given that the moon has no atmosphere and therefore a black "sky" during the day. I'm sure the astronauts could see stars if they were looking away from the sun.
