I was there in the winter I believe twice and never saw the sun either time....seriously. Granted I was only there a couple of days each time tho.

ETA: it was a long time ago so maybe my CRS is kicking in

Overcast? I could see where it feels like the sun never rose when it's so low on the horizon and it's very cloudy.
