Worked with several amish while in High School when I had a job working on a farm. Very laid back people but strict with the upbringing of their children and each group will have their own ordinum that is decided by the elders. The group that was closest to me was a bit radical in that they allowed their members to wear colored shirts.

Side note: Families with several boys would lend them out to local farms in order to perform works but the arrangement was made so that the parents would receive 90% of their child's paycheck and the rest would go to the child. Pretty good deal for the parents if they could have four or five boys that would be working in the area but I believe the parents would only use some of the money and put the rest towards the creation of a new homestead for their son.

All of the stores around Amish country has tie off posts and dedicated spots for Amish parking.
