I'm beginning to think that communism is from basic human nature

The simple argument was freedom vs. equality. And we on the right assumed freedom would win out because man has a basic yearning to be free. That's why prison is so bad. Equality is extremely unnatural.
But what if the goal of equality is actually to fulfill a more basic human need. The need to tell other people how to live their lives.
Think of the anxiety of a newlywed couple when the mother-in-law comes to visit. She finds things in the house that you need to fix or do differently. It's presented as friendly advice but it fulfills her need to control others.
I've seen this happen in HOA meetings. You can't paint your house this color because it's a bad color.
This also explains the gender differences. Women lean left and men lean right. The mom says 'Junior needs to be neater and eat better and not talk so loud in the house.'
Dad says 'Just leave him alone. He'll be fine.'
Thoughts?

Pretty much nailed it. We've been battling the inner human desire to control others for centuries, and will continue to do so as long as humanity is what it is.

Communism has nothing to do with either unless everyone getting treated equally shitty counts.

But it's the illusion of equality that drives them

I've been screaming basically this for a quarter century. It's a basic human psychology and existed centuries before Karl Marx was ever born.

Yes, this includes the envy argument. Envy can motivate votes. But the rich people who run google, Hollywood, Universities, etc. are not envious of the rich. They are rich. They see their power to make others adopt their views and they use that power.

Communism is counter to human nature. Fundamentally, we are driven by our individual needs and pursuits of happiness, and make decisions that are in our best personal interest. We aren’t driven by working for the betterment of the collective.
