This is my biggest problem with kids in all college sports these days. I understand that everyone wants to play, but more often than not, it’s worth it to stick it out and persevere through tough times. Life is no different. Sad part is, with as many 5 and 6 DB packages that we run, he would have been on the field a good bit.

If you get a new job and after a year or two it becomes clear that there are other people who are ahead of you for promotions, you leave. Is there a chance you could still get a promotion? Sure. But if you think your odds are better going somewhere else, you go.

I don't know why everyone treats 20 year old football players differently.

I guess walking out like a coward is a reasonable action.

Or you could man-up, put more effort in, and it might just pay off. See Jacoby Stevens.

Love the LSU fans in here trashing a 19 year old kid for doing what he feels is in his best interest.

I hope he stays, but some of you trashing these kids yet will defend multi-millionaire coaches that will drop these kids in a minute if it gets them more money or security.

Agreed, Geauxgurt. It’s so silly and dumb to go negative on a player that appears to have a lot going on off the field who’s transferring out. Either you have to accept LSU players (rarely) transferring out without animosity *or* you have to be critical of the transfers coming into LSU: Fehoko, Burrow, Mett, etc.

I wish Joseph wasn’t departing, but wish him the best. Unless he ends up at another SEC team, a la Savion...then, I’d say any player that does that can go frick himself.

Ok so how does it work again? ...you enter the transfer portal and other schools recruit you ...if they want you?

The LSU fans were happy when committed.
They were sad when he de-committed.
They were happy when re-committed.
They were sad when he entered the portal.
They were happy when he took himself out of the portal.

Now that he has put himself in the portal a second time, the fans are just ready for him to leave.

That's all.

I missed it, so I'm guessing he went back in the portal? Any details I may have missed?

Second time in the transfer portal, suspended for the bowl game for violating team rules, doesn't want to fight for anything and have it handed to him, not a team player. At this point he just might as well go. We don't need kids like him in this program.

Cancer to the locker room. Great talent but is not a team guy in the true sense. Hate to lose him but damn..... stick it out and learn a lesson.

It has to be a situation like the bowl game suspension. There's no reason a guy goes through the whole spring, plays significantly last year as a true freshman, set for a ton of minutes this year and there's likely two open starting spots in 2020 available here. If he transfers, he isn't starting anywhere else until 2020 either.

I think it has to be a pending suspension as a repeat offender. The depth chart argument makes no sense.

Your the only one here that actually knows the legit details. Can you please just give a vague reason why?
