I work with an older Jewish guy who is a moderate Democrat. He's already named 5-6 candidates that he could never vote for including Bernie, Warren, Kamala, and Booker (he has a rather large retirement account and believes that they'll come after his money to pay for their insane policies). He will not vote for Trump regardless.
This lack of research frustrates me. If one paid any attention at all, they would know that Trump is one of the most pro-Israel Presidents. Hell, look how bullish Netanyahu is about Trump. Never mind the fact that Trump's daughter is Jewish.
Baffling.

He's not about Israel.
He readily admits that it's the Jewish part of him that makes him a social Democrat. He also admits that, like many Jews, it was beat into him (i.e., he was brainwashed from an early age) to view the Democrat party as the party that would have been more likely to come to the aid of those impacted by the Holocaust.
I often question him about how can Jews can still support the Democrat party given their antisemitism and their unwavering support for all things Muslim. He sort of hems and haws and always falls back on the Dems and the Holocaust thing. He admits that he can't really explain it well.
