I went into home Depot to get the ego trimmer... But decided to try the Ryobi 40V. While not as strong as gas, it has plenty of power and battery on my acre lot. It will take .8 or .95 line, and has a similar loader to the ego. It just isn't powered and requires you to turn it manually like an echo

Cool. Yeah I think the Kobalt is a manual load situation but that's still better than the pre-loaded proprietary spools of .065" line I'm dealing with now.

The ego trimmer looks like it might "edge" out the Kobalt 80v but for some reason Kobalt is producing good mowers even though they're basically retrofitted gas mowers where as the ego mowers are engineered from the ground up to be electric.
