Yeah that was what struck me too....jsut said wcrew it and let him go....literally a "too much ppwk" situation

If that bum commits another assault, that's 100% on Austin PD

if another citizen has an encounter with him, and the bum gets hurt enough for EMS, you can it will be the citizen up to their eyeballs in legal bills, not the bum or the city.

Austin needs to address the issue they've created with ordnance, but will not...like most cities, homeless and the things it brings (crime/drug use/littering/health issues) are viewed with compassion and allowed to flourish

I've been following the situation and it seems that the majority of the public are very pissed off about the new ordinance. Abbot said he'd step in if camping is allowed or something. City council and mayor could be on the hot seat for this.
