For living expenses I don't have the numbers in front of me but I wanna say it worked out to about $1000/m for those last 4 years. And remember there are non-tuition school expenses like parking pass, student fees, books.... for doctor shite a single book can be $600. $1000 a month didn't go far but we lived together and I made about 40k in a skilled trade and we lived within our means.

I may also add that she didn't get the full benefits of GA HOPE because she was a non-trad that went back to school in her late 20's after the HOPE cutoff.

A traditional UGA vet track wouldn't be as much.

Our daughter is a vet. My wife and I have discussed this before and it is due to the fact that it is a high stressed, long hour job that is consistently surrounded by death by either the animal dying or they have to euthanize them. Here's an article that lists suicide rates by profession and gives some insight.
It’s gotta be tough for most vets whom I believe love animals to have to deal with the deaths and euthanasia. I guarantee they would all agree that’s by far the worst part of the job.

Vet here. It can be extremely exhausting and easy to get burnt out with what we do. I work 6+, sometimes 7 days per week. The pay is not what u would think. It’s easy to judge from an outside view of how we work, however, it’s not what you think. I probably average 4 hours of sleep per night, because the stress level of different cases and patients wears on you.
Rayne baw here also.

If you are who I think you are, you’re considered one of the best around.
